Environmental Management

At the heart of any Environmental Management System lies the capability to check and monitor environmental performance and to communicate deviations from the environmental plan so as to generate the actions necessary to rectify the underlying problem.

IPMS already incorporates the features necessary to simply and reliably check and monitor environmental performance as part of your environmental management system whist also providing an audit log for compliance and regulatory monitoring requirements.

• Compliance monitoring. IPMS provides a 'Traffic Light' feature that is orange for compliance 'at risk' and red for compliance parameter that exceeds specified high or low limits.

• Trend monitoring and exception e-mail notification. IPMS includes a number of trending facilities, from single to multiple trends per graph and from summary web reporting to detailed management reporting options. Exceptions can be automatically e-mailed to the relevant personnel - all controlled within IPMS.

• Calculation of Key Performance Indicators. The powerful calculation allows users to derive any benchmark or key performance indicator. Calculation engine supports most standard mathematical and basic statistical operators.

• Environmental benchmarking. By deriving benchmarks for the site or for a process, IPMS allows users to compare benchmark performance across multiple sites. Combined with a number of different views of the data, dependant on the level of person viewing the information, IPMS is an ideal tool for communicating environmental performance and benchmarking information to all users within an organisation.

• Communication of Opportunities. IPMS also has the facility for users to define opportunities for improvements and to suggest means to monitor and take remedial action and the facility to track comments and questions related to these opportunities. In the near future IPMS will also have the ability to e-mail notification to the person creating the opportunity if no action has been taken on this within a predetermined period of time.

Being a totally web based system, IPMS provides a practical and costs effective means to collect ad monitor this information from sites located anywhere in the world - in a cost effective manner and without the need to invest in costly and complex software systems.
