IPMS is a data management tool used by many of our customers as a means of
measuring, monitoring and optimising the consumption for energy and
utilities on their key processes.
Key Energy Management Capabilities include:
Calculation of energy specific Key Performance Indicators
and Benchmarks from any numeric data.
A fully automated Monitoring & Targeting system that
monitors actual energy and utility use against a target (multiple targets
can be set and the targets themselves can be calculations) and highlights
differences by way of a set of traffic lights in the main Performance section
of the site and within the Perfomance Dashboard. Exceptions can be sent by
e-mail.
Presentation of energy and utility cost information on a
Performance Dashboard that summarises large amounts of data onto 1 easy to read
web page. To see an example of -

A broad range of detailed management
reports summarising energy and utility use and cost against target and across
previous date ranges.
Regression analysis facilities within the application to
help identify potential relationships in data.
Suitiable for the monitoring of any utility - gas, water,
energy, chemical, compressed air, trade effluent etc.
Comprehensive benchmarking facility to enable companies to
compare energy related Key performance Indicators and Benchmarks across a
number of sites - anywhere in the world.
Ability to set up calculations to derive 'virtual' energy
meters from other numeric data. An example of this in the Water industry is the
use of hours run data to derive a 'virtual' energy meter for specific processes
around a site.
The powerful calculation engine in IPMS, allows users to create and calculate
key performance indicators and benchmarks, either historically or in real time,
and to identify and issue e-mail exceptions. The algorithms used within IPMS
mean that users can use raw data from a variety of different databases and
systems as inputs into these calculations. So, for example, a customer may wish
to use half hour power data and 15 minute flow data to calculate the power used
per m3 of flow (kWh/m3).
